GAZPROM GAZOBEZOPASNOST Co. Ltd. considers September 25, 1972 as the date of its inception when the Directorate for occupational safety, health, paramilitary units and company security was formed under the Gas Industry Ministry order.
As a result of structural adjustments in the gas industry the Directorate was transformed into GAZOBEZOPASNOST Company in October 1989 and into ÎÎÎ GAZOBEZOPASNOST (GAZOBEZOPASNOST Limited Liability Company) in June 1999 pursuant to the Gas Industry Ministry order
In May 2009 the company was renamed as OOO GAZPROM GAZOBEZOPASNOST.
GAZPROM GAZOBEZOPASNOST is an emergency rescue service of GAZPROM JSC and is included in the List of the federal constant alert forces of the unified state emergency response system.
:::: PURPOSES OF THE COMPANY ::::
GAZPROM GAZOBEZOPASNOST major activities involve arrangement and execution of accident, injury and fire prevention operations at the gas industry companies, mineral wealth conservancy operations as well as taking of special measures to prevent and clean up gas, oil and water spills, open gas and oil blowouts, conducting of explosion-hazard operations and personnel training based on the contracts with GAZPROM and other companies.
:::: MAIN AREAS OF ACTIVITY ::::
GAZPROM GAZOBEZOPASNOST annually takes considerable efforts to ensure tutorial and operational guidance and arrangement of occupational safety
actions at companies and enterprises of the gas industry, to perform organizational and engineering actions aimed at streamlining and improving
fire protection at explosion-hazard gas facilities that enables to reduce accidents at work, rule out occurrence of blowouts and large-scale fires
at gas facilities.
- Regular preventive maintenance activities to prevent gas, water and oil spills, gas leak and open blowouts;
- Industrial safety monitoring of process facilities and provision of high-level personal and environmental safety of production facilities;
- Organization and implementation of labor protection requirements for the protection of employees, industrial and fire safety work performance;
- Keeping of special emergency response units and equipment on active alert to respond to oil & gas blowouts;
- Organization and performance of sophisticated scheduled and ad-hoc repair work at processing facilities in an environment of possible gas leakage and emission;
- Organization of methodological support, training and certification of personnel as pertaining to the emergency response and prevention of gas, oil and water spills and open blowouts;
- Development, design and manufacture of non-standard and special equipment, appliances and tools for emergency response in case of gas leaks to atmosphere.
